Distinguish side-sharing neighbors from corner contacts. If you number cells or color regions, add a small key before using the map.

Preserve scale when it matters

If you will measure on the sheet, print at 100% or actual size and check a distance with a ruler. “Fit to page” can change the spacing. For free writing, choose a line size that gives you comfortable room.
