Before using it
Count spaces between dots, not just dots. Five dots in a row delimit four intervals. Check the actual spacing when measurements matter.
Preserve scale when it matters
If you will measure on the sheet, print at 100% or actual size and check a distance with a ruler. “Fit to page” can change the spacing. For free writing, choose a line size that gives you comfortable room.
