Observe the theme’s shapes
Before choosing colors, locate egg ovals, rabbit ears and basket patterns. Separate foreground and background, then test a short palette on scrap paper. Repeat a color to connect details in different parts of the picture.
After the activity
Design two eggs using the same pattern in a different order and explain what changes. Play with decorated eggs, rabbits and other Easter motifs while distinguishing the visual theme from different traditions.
Try a small palette
Choose three or four colors and test them together on scrap paper. Repeat a color in separate areas to connect them visually, or leave some spaces white. With markers, place a protective sheet underneath and check whether ink shows through.
