What to check
Add the runs and their minimum separating spaces. For 2 1, you need at least 2 + 1 + 1 = 4 cells. If there is spare room, runs can shift and you cannot fix every position yet.
Separate empty from unknown
Mark cells you know are empty with a cross and leave unresolved cells unmarked. Progress in a row supplies information for its columns. At the end, count the actual runs in every line and compare them with all its clues.
